BIGBANK AS is a bank that was established in 1992 in the Estonian city of Tartu and it specializes in consumer loans and term deposits, operating in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Spain and Sweden, and is also offering cross-border services in Germany, Austria and Netherlands. The company is working in all markets under a unified trademark BIGBANK. Today, BIGBANK is one of the largest specialized lenders of money to private persons in the Baltic countries after universal banks and leasing companies.

BIGBANK offers two kinds of services: loans and term-deposits in the Baltic States, Finland, Spain and Sweden, and only deposits in Germany, Austria and Netherlands.

 As a specialized bank, BIGBANK has the resource to deal with every client more thoroughly and evaluate his/her possibilities personally. Therefore, BIGBANK is able to be faster and more flexible than other credit establishments.

BIGBANK has an extensive network of offices that ensures a comfortable possibility for the clients to meet face to face with the employees of the bank. In Estonia, in Latvia and in Lithuania the services of BIGBANK are available through the network of post bank via post offices all over the country. Also, the bank offers a possibility to use all services of the company through electronic channels - Internet, telephone service - irrespective of time and place.

The strategy of BIGBANK is to continue in its current field of activity based on the already adopted principles by concentrating on the existing client segment and always offering the best services according to the needs of the clients. BIGBANK will not compete with universal banks in the sphere of traditional banking services.

International activity

The parent company and main office of BIGBANK, a company based 100% on Estonian capital, are located in Estonia. The group owns a subsidiary and a branch in Latvia, a branch in Lithuania, Finland and Spain and is active as a cross-border service provider in Germany, Austria and Netherlands.

Latvia

The Latvian subsidiary of BIGBANK, SIA Baltijas Izaugsmes Grupa, was established in Riga in 1996. During reorganization of the activity an official branch of the BIGBANK, besides the subsidiary, received an activity license in November 2008.  The main activity of the Latvian branch is similar to the parent company: consumer loans and term deposits are offered to the clients.

Lithuania

Lithuanian branch opened its doors under the name of BIGBANK in September 2007. The main field of activity of the branch are consumer loans directed to private persons, the bank does not offer term deposits in the Lithuanian market at the moment.

Finland

BIGBANK was registered as a branch in Finland on 29th of October 2009 and the first service branch was opened in December, the same year. As in the Baltic States, BIGBANK offers term deposits and consumer loans on the Finnish market. 

Germany, Austria and Netherlands

BIGBANK offers term deposits in Germany, Austria and Netherlands as a cross-boarder service. The cross-boarder service allows credit establishments to offer financial services in other country without having to own a permanent activity location. BIGBANK does not have employees with principal job in these countries.

Spain

Spanish branch of BIGBANK opened its first office in Madrid in March 2011. In Spanish market BIGBANK offers consumer loans directed to private persons.

Sweden

BIGBANK was registered as a branch in Sweden on January 2012. In Swedish market BIGBANK offers consumer loans directed to private persons.
