BIGBANK Gold League series: the first stange of the summer session ended

The highest places in men‘s 200-meter run were won by Estonian athletes. Lithuanian runner Gediminas Kučinskas, whose result was 22,27 s, took the fifth place, while Lukas Freimonas with the result of 23,14s remained on the eighteenth. The 800-meter run was of a bigger success to Tomas Šernas, who crossed the finish line after 1 min. 59,46 s and won the seventh place.

In women‘s 200-meter run, Latvian and Estonian athletes were the most successful, whereas Lithuanian runner Eva Misiūnaitė, who reached the finish line within 25,56 s, became the fifth one. In general, the competition witnessed the greatest number of prize-winning places to have gone to Estonian sportsmen.

BIGBANK Gold League is an athletics championship, which today is the most reputable and biggest-scale athletics series in the Baltic States. BIGBANK Gold League dates back to the year 2006, when three competition stages took place during the first winter session. BIGBANK Gold League summer stage consists of five stages, where sportsmen compete for the main prize. This championship is attended by the most famous Estonian athletes as well as sportsmen from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Russia and other countries.
