On the 16th of October (Sunday) in Vilnius, at the PC Panorama (9 Saltoniškių Street), for the second time in Lithuania will be held a charity dog show "BIG Match Show", during which collected funds will be allocated to animal care organization NGO "Lesė". At the same time, the exhibition will be held in Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
Last year during the charity dog show "BIG Match Show" 4000 litas were donated to one of the largest animal care organizations "Lese". The money was used mainly for improving the conditions for the animals and renovating the premises of the shelter.
During 2010 the new shelter repairmen for NGO "Lese" volunteers and the entire organization was the most expensive project in every sense. Since the new premises were previously used as a farm, it was necessary for the reconstruction of all domestic investment - wall partition and ceiling mounting. A number of financial and human resources needed also for decoration.
The money raised during the first "BIG Match Show" which has been organized by bank BIGBANK and NGO "Lese", have helped to equip the shelter with bathroom fixtures, bathroom, buy the necessary furniture, electrical appliances, in addition to that, a part money was used for the shelter's space insulation. According to the head of NGO "Lese" Vesta Auskalniene every support is very important for them.
"We are pleased that every year NGO "Lese " reaches more and more beautiful results, and the statistics of our animals that find new home is growing. We could not have achieved any of that without the assistance of other organizations, in addition to our volunteers and other people of a good will. The awareness of homeless animal's problem in the society and the media is growing and it leads to tangible results," – says Vesta Auškalnienė.
This year's funds raised during the exhibition also have a preliminary plan. "A lot of attention is given to the sterilization of animals, but this requires considerable investment. Moreover, a lot of animals that come to our shelters need urgent treatment. Currently, at our nearest plans - installation of the aviaries inside the shelters,"- stated Vesta Auškalnienė.
In order to take part in BIG Match Show, the organizers invite to preregister oneself here until 13 October. More information is to be found on the official webpage, address www.bigmatchshow.lt.
