On the 16th of October (Sunday), in Vilnius at the PC "Panorama" (Saltoniskiu str. 9), for the second time in Lithuania a charity dog show "BIG Match Show" will be held. All the funds, collected during the show will be allocated to animal care organization NGO "Lesė". The exhibition, organized by NGO "Lese" and bank BIGBANK at the same time will be held in Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
Both pure-bred and mixed-bred dogs are welcome to take part in the "BIG Match Show". The jury – magazine's "Give paw" author Vaiva Zostaute, Austian Ambassarods wife also an animal lover and their well being developer dr. Gudrun Koller and for animal problems partial Gintare Gureviciute, assessing candidates will focus on the appearance, behavior and obedience to the owner during the exhibition.
The patron of the show – journalist and loyal dog lover Skaiva Jaseviciute encourages not being indifferent, but gather on this special Sunday event in the name of a noble goal. "You do not have to be the winner of different shows to love and take care after your pets – this should be in owners' hearts every day. Showing a good example we learn from each other and help the weaker - it is a real victory," – said Skaiva Jaseviciute.
"All initiatives supported by BIGBANK emits a strong signal and for this time we are kindly inviting you to come and together with us support the homeless animals," – said Rolandas Norvilas, the head of bank BIGBANK Lithuanian branch.
During the exhibition the winner of the title "The Most Dog-Friendly Deed of the Year" will be announced. It was elected from more than 10 submitted candidates. Last year's winner Mr. Algimantas Bakas from Kaunas is ready to transmit the title to another, not less devoted dog owner.
During the event everyone will be able to be photographed by a photographer, to see an entertaining customs show. There will also be an opportunity to meet homeless animals, share advices and smiles for each other. During the brakes everybody will be invited to participate in the quiz and win nice presents.
"Last year there were so many people that everyone who wanted to enter the first charity dog show in Lithuania had to stand in a quite long queue for a while. This year we have more space so we expect to get even more participants. The support and help for the homeless animals is very important," – said NGO "Lese" director Vesta Auskalniene.
BIG Match Show - the largest annual charitable event in the Baltic countries, which seeks to draw attention to the homeless animal problem, find solutions and to support the shelter for such animals giving organizations. The event is held by animal charity organization PI "Lese" and bank BIGBANK. The initiative also seeks to draw attention to the responsibilities that people take together with a pet. The event will take place simultaneously in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania: the sixth time in Estonia, third time in Latvia and the for the second time in Lithuania.
